Exposure allows a lot of light to pour in and make the colors very vibrant; almost a graphic feel. Selective cropping in camera (cutting off the rest of the word just to read _no) and placing the text at the bottom make it feel grounded and permanant.

Very powerful—almost feeling like it could be of Russian Constructionist influence (but where’s the red?). The softness of the ground (both in shape and also hue/value) is of such a different language from the letters (stark, solid and sharp) that the two seem at opposite ends of a spectrum. Because of this the need to find the relationship between the two is intensified…
